German unions blame score-settling by the Bush administration for the loss of jobs at Opel's car assembly factory. (Opel is a subsidiary of GM)
The workers’ council cannot prove the involvement of major politics at GM. But it is true that members of GM´s top management are contributors to Bush´s election campaign.
In sane countries they just look at the sales figures for their products to explain job losses.

In the Europe that is a victim of US imperialism you don't need facts.
