SINCE AUNTIE BEGAN last night running a sympathetic account of T E Lawrence's doings in the Middle East, it would be timely to read Roger Sandall's analysis of how the much mythologised 'Lawrence of Arabia' anticipated some of the methods, motives and themes of contemporary Islamic terrorism.

Unfortunately, the Rat-House delivers only a blank screen for Sandall's thoughts. That's either post-modern commentary, or they should fix it.
