CRUSADER OR CROOK?
Three correspondents have responded to yesterday's Media Report on the legal stoush between John Macgregor who portrays himself as an investigative journalist protecting his sources, and the religious group Elan Vital, which sees itself as the victim of an unscrupulous and illegal hate campaign.
Macgregor lost the case, but won Media Report's implicit endorsement. After all, they ran the story as a case in the legal restraints on journalists through the use of suppression orders. My correspondents consider Mick O'Regan has gilded Macgregor's lily in his report.
I invite them to cut and paste their observations as comments, within Haloscan's severe space limit.
